This organic vineyard is located on the edge of the protected nature reserve of Cap Bénat in the municipality of Bormes Les Mimosas. A magnificent coastline with a view of the islands of the Porquerolles and its own bay, where it is wonderful for the grapes and the visitors to the chateau.
Delightful scents of the sea, wild thyme, scrubland, pine trees, ripe figs and jasmine enhance the feeling of a paradise on earth. The domain is 560 ha, of which 65 ha in use as a vineyard and 20 ha as an olive grove.
The English owners Bamford (since 1997) strive for high quality organic wines, with respect for the environment and with a focus on sustainability: enhancing biodiversity and the natural protection of the crops on the estate. The Bamford family is the inventor of the FarmShop Daylesford Organic concept in Great Britain, which has been around for more than 25 years.
Romain Ott, winemaker at Léoube and a renowned oenologist in the world of wine producers, strives for wines of haute couture: their own recognizable Léoube style in taste, quality, authenticity, elegance, balance; a wine to celebrate every moment in life.
Review Château Léoube - Love by Léoube 2019 (88 TSW)
Blend of mainly Grenache & Cinsault.
In the glass a very bright salmon pink color.
On the medium nose aromas of strawberries, watermelon and peach with hints of citrus and candied cherries.
On the palate dry, medium bodied with medium+ acidity and nice freshness. The palate recalls the nose with also some raspberries and cranberry notes. Refreshing and perfect fort he upcoming indian summer.
