Mas de Cadenet - Rosé Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire 2018 - Bio. (87 TSW)
A blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah with a lovely slice of Panetone cake. France meets Italy.
My tasting notes:
In the glass a bright salmon pink color.
On the medium nose aromas of cranberries, peach and citrus with hints of white blossom.
On the palate dry, medium- bodied with medium+ acidity and nice freshness. Flavours of citrus, cranberries and herbs and a medium crisp finish.
About the winery:
With the support of his children Maud and Matthieu, Guy Négrel continues a family tradition that started at the foot of the Sainte-Victoire in 1873.The winery now has 45 hectares (certified organic) on a grave terroir.
The winery mainly focuses on the production of rosé wines. The 45 hectares of the age-old family winery are located at 250 meters above sea level. The plots are mainly south-facing. Mas de Cadenet specializes in rosé - more than 60% of the production consists of this type of wine. In addition, red (30%) and white (10%) wines are also made from the grape varieties rolle, syrah, granache, cinsault and cabernet sauvignon.
