Les Costières de Pomerols - HB Chevalier Rosé 2018 (83 TSW)
It’s not cold in the Netherlands but we miss the sun a bit.
This rosé was ok and easy going.
Pale pink in color with strawberries, raspberries, peach and herbs.
The palate is dry, easy going with medium acidity and lemon in the finish. OK to split the week.
Would you rather drink a really very good bottle once a week or a supermarket wine every day and why? Or: Prefer a wine from a good producer from a bad year or a lesser one producer from a good year?
The Les Costières de Pomérols cooperative was founded in 1932 with vineyards between the garrigue in Languedoc and the Etang de Thau. In 2003 it was merged with the Cave de Castelnau de Guers and in 2007 with the Cave de Mèze. The cooperative has only 350 winegrowers in total 1750 hectares of vineyard with other 400 hectares of Picpoul de Pinet.
The upscaling has the opportunity to invest in the installations and thereby produce a wide range of wines.
