About this rosso from the Bolgheri region. Fermentation takes place in 50 hl and 75 hl concrete vats at a controlled temperature that ranges between 26°C and 30° C for approximately two weeks, followed by a brief 10 days skin maceration. Malolactic fermentation takes place in concrete tanks. Aging in barriques for variable periods of time just like the variable time in the bottle.
My tasting notes:
In the glass a bright ruby red color.
On the medium+ nose aromas of dark berries and ripe black cherries with hints of leather, tobacco and spices.
On the palate dry, medium-bodied with medium soft tannins and round mouthfeel. On the palate a recall of the nose wity a long and pleasant finish. Excellent price, quality and perfect with the weather in the Netherlands.
