Franzen - Bremmer Calmont Riesling GG 2015
Pairing Suggestions
One of the most famous vineyards of the Mosel is the Bremmer Calmont. However, it impresses not only with its 65 degrees slope, but also with the old vines and their many facets.
This Riesling is absolutely great – Franzen: Bremmer Calmont Riesling GG 2015 (89 tsomw points)
In the glass a bright golden, yellow color
On the nose ripe apricots, citrus fruit with hints of herbs and wet stone.
On the palate, exotic fruit, apricots with hints of orange zest are encountered, which are enhanced by a dense structure and minerality.
Winemakers notes:
The Great Growth from the Bremmer Calmont is very dense and complex. The up to 80 years old vines stand on the lower terraces of the mountain. Their loose berry grapes allow for the late harvest. The big plants get with us the time they need to be perfect for us.
Here you do not have to be careful. It is always said, the stronger the main course - the darker the wine, but not if it is a large growth from the Bremmer Calmont. For a white wine, its golden yellow color is quite dark, but combine it like a red wine. Maybe to the pork tenderloin of chanterelle sauce or the Christmas goose.
