Foradori - Fontanasanta Nosiola 2019
Pairing Suggestions
Foradori - Fontanasanta Nosiola 2019 (91/100 TSW)
The 'orange wine' Nosiola proves that long skin maceration does not have to mean a lot of color, body, structure for the wine right away! The wine has been on the skin for 8 months and the grape Nosiola (like Manzoni) gives virtually no color.

My tasting notes
In the glass a medium citrus yellow color.
On the medium(+) nose of candied orange, green apple and passion fruit with hints of white peach, dried flowers, beeswax, white pepper and fennel.
On the palate dry, medium(+) bodied with med(+) acidity, med alc. showing light fatty flavours of lemon zest, tropical fruit, white peach and fennel with a medium(+) length finish.
Nosiola grape tends to offer very neutral aromas in its natural state but this is something else. Unique wine.
To pair with: seafood, fish dishes, salads, asparagus, poultry without heavy sauce, white meat without heavy sauce.
About the winery:
Elisabetta Foradori has created a furor within the biodynamic and natural wine scene. For example, she makes wonderfully elegant natural wines that mature on Tinajas.
These are 420 liter amphorae with a certain porosity. The legendary winemaker Elisabetta Foradori belongs to the absolute world top within pure and clean Vin Nature! Today Elisabetta is more and more occupied with making cheese and her three children, Emilio, Theo and Myrtha, are more and more in charge of the winemaking and the vineyards.
