Finovino - Pinela 2016

Today a wine from Slovenia on the drinking table. Some years ago a couple from Amsterdam moved to Slovenia to escape from the busy city life. Now they distribute the wines from the local wineries under the label of Finovino. Varieties like Teran, Rebula and Pinela.

We tasted the Finovino – Pinela 2016 (86 tsomw points)

In the glass a pale sunny yellow color.
On the nose aromas of peach, pineapple, citrus and dried flowers.
On the palate medium-full bodied with a distinct minerality that completes the balance of freshness and smoothness.
Very nice. My first wine from Slovenia and really a nice one. When you want to try more of their wines you can also order a tasting package of their wines.

Slovenian white grape variety that can only be found in the Vipava valley and a bit in the Karst area. A very full wine that can accompany complex dishes.
