The partnership between the Cotarella family and the wine world dates back to the sixteens, when Antonio and Domenico Cotarella, winemakers from Monterubiaglio, built the first winery for their own wine production. The brothers Renzo and Riccardo Cotarella, both grown up in a traditional winegrowing area, founded Falesco in 1979 in the spirit of the passion inherited from their father Domenico. What had started as a small family business was passed on as a company to the next generation.

The daughters Dominga, Marta and Enrica now work in the family business with the same enthusiasm as their fathers. The fourth generation offers the prospect of a future in which Falesco will have the same importance.

My tasting notes:

In the glass almost dark red with purple edges.
On the medium+ nose aromas of dark cherries, blackberries and spices with hints of chocolate, tobacco and cinnamon.
On the palate dry, medium+ bodied with medium+ acidity and tannins. Warm mouthfeel with flavours of dark fruit, olives, vanilla and spices. Long and persistence finish.
