Tonight a special bottle.
Elio Altare - Barolo 2011 (91 tsomw points)
I decanted the wine for around 3 hours and it started singing in the glass.
It shows an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections.
On the nose raspberries, red cherries and roses with hints of licorice, vanilla, cedar and spices.
On the palate excellent balance and texture with medium tannins, medium acidity. Good complexity and length.
Can be aged fors some more years but now already great.
