You probably know the award winning Duckhorn wines?

Duckhorn Vineyards were founded in 1976 in St Helena, in the heart of the Napa Valley. Their Decoy range (based in Sonoma County) is made from vineyards cultivated by several partner growers, but is crafted in Duckhorn's 'house style', with maturation in 100% French oak barrels.

This Decoy Cab has an excellent price quality range. Mainly Cabernet Sauvignon and a splash of Merlot to give it more softness.

In the glass a bright deep violet, crimson color.
On the medium++ nose delicate aromas of blackberries, plums and black cherries with smoky hints of dark chocolate, spices and cedar.
On the palate medium+ bodied, medium+ tannins and medium acidity. Very elegant, balanced and with the right freshness to make it very nice drinkable already. Flavours of dark fruit, coffee and spices with light earthy hints. The finish is pleasant and persistent.

Will be perfect with a fine steak, lamb, game and poultry but can also be drunk on its own. Cheers.
