De Kleine Schorre - Brut de Zelande
Pairing Suggestions
De Kleine Schorre - Brut de Zelande (88 TSW)
Blend of Pinot Blanc, Auxerrois and Rivaner.
Yes. A Dutch bubble. Very surprising and well made this one. With the coming heath 35+ a good thirst quencher
My tasting notes:
Assembled and bottled in Luxembourg.
In the glass a dark yellow color with a persistent small bubble.
On the medium nose aromas of yeast,, apple, citrus and bread.
On the palate dry, medium bodied with nice freshness and light waxy mouthfeel showing flavours of citrus, yellow apple, brioche and yeast. Very nice!
The story of this winery started in 2001 in the village of Dreischor on Schouwen-Duiveland when the Dutch winery with vineyards is founded by six entrepreneurs. About 10 ha of vines they have and they use grape varieties which also are common in the Alsace region like Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Auxerrois and Rivaner.
The wines are good company with local products like mussels and oysters.
