Château Sainte Marguerite – Symphonie Rosé - Cru Classé - 2017 Cotes de Provence (90TSW)
Château Sainte Marguerite is a Côtes de Provence classified vineyard since 1955, that spreads on 75 hectares, created in 1929 on old plots dedicated to vine culture since the Roman era. The estate is facing the sea on the territory of La Lande Les Maures. This Varois seaside village benefits from exceptional climatic and geologic conditions. The vineyard is worked entirely in organic farming, with the Ecocert label.
This beautiful Rosé from the Provence we drank during the holiday and paired it with asparagus soup. Really a top match. A blend of 90% Grenache and 10% Cinsault.
My tasting notes:
In the glass a bright salmon pink color.
On the medium nose aromas of strawberries, white flowers, citrus and cranberries.
On the palate dry, medium-bodied, medium+ acidity with lovely soft mouthfeel showing flavours of red berries, mediterranean herbs, orange zes tand peach. Nice long mineral finish. One of the best rosés I have tasted.
