Chateau les Valentines - Côtes de Provence Rosé 2019
Pairing Suggestions
Chateau les Valentines - Côtes de Provence Rosé 2019 (87 TSW)
Blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre.
In La Londe-les-Maures, on the coast between Toulon and St Tropez, in the Côtes de Provence wine region, Château Les Valentines extends over 50 hectares of schist where grapevines, pine forests and garrigue scrubland enjoy full southern exposure, windswept by the Mistral and steeped in the gentle influence of the sea.
The extraordinary climate and terroir here allow the vineyard to produce consistent, well-balanced organic wines.
In agri bio certification since 2008, the soils are worked in a traditional and permanent way without weed killers or insecticides
My tasting notes:
In the glass a pale salmon color, light copper.
On the medium nose aromas of peach, cranberries and dried herbs with hints of grapefruit, anise and white pepper.
On the palate dry, medium bodied with medium acidity and freshness. Round and light creamy with strawberries, peach and citrus. Mineral aftertaste with light bitterness.
To pair with fish curry, seasonal salads, stuffed foods, grilled bass with fennel, aubergine lasagne and of course any Thai or Japanese cuisine (like sashimi)
