Bisol - Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze DOCG Dry (88 tsomw points)
This week it’s National Prosecco week so it was time to crack a good one.
The Bisol Winery, founded in 1542 and today one of the best winemakers in the sparkling wine production of Veneto, has an ancient family history on the territory of Valdobbiadene, characterized by an innovative print that still distinguishes it today.
The Valdobbiadene Superiore from Cartizze Dry from Bisol is born in vineyards in the municipality of Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene, in the province of Treviso, in the heart of the precious cru of Cartizze.
It is produced with Glera grapes in purity, harvested manually at the beginning of October. After the classic processes of winemaking in white, the second fermentation takes place by refermentation in an autoclave, according to the Charmat method, with refinement on its own yeasts.
This year they have changed all the labels of their sparkling so my picture is with the older label.
Tasting notes:
In the glass a straw yellow color with golden reflections. The perlage is subtle and persistent.
On the nose elegant notes of sweet peaches, citrus and pear with light hints of summer flowers.
On the palate fresh and fruity, easy going in the mouth and well balanced with flavours of apple, citrus and ripe pear. Perfect for summer weather and sipping on the terrace.
