Apostelhoeve - Pinot Gris Late Harvest 2018. (88 TSW)

Today we visited Dutch winery De Apostelhoeve and tasted their new wines but also the wine on the picture. Pinot Gris Late Harvest 2018.

Because of the warm 2018 in the Netherlands and the continuing of the good weather they produced for the first time a small amount of this sweet wine which will perfect with cheese or dessert.

The harvested grapes for this wine achieved no less than 138 oechsle. The special thing was that this was achieved with only healthy grapes, so no noble rot what is very unique 

It has a light golden color.
On the medium+ nose aromas of pear, banana, yellow apple and peach.
On the palate round, sweet, long-lasting taste with a good acid balance: raisins, jam, pear and candied fruits. Good balance between the acidity and sweetness.
