Apostelhoeve - Cuvée XII 2019 (89 TSW)
Blend of Müller-Thurgau, Auxerrois and Pinot Gris.

For me one of the best wines from The Netherlands.
We celebrate this Dutch wine on #kingsday of course under different circumstances.

My notes on this new vintage.

This year one point better then last year.
More fruit and nice fresh acidity give this wine that extra point (climate change?) In the glass a bright citrus yellow color.
On the medium+ nose aromas of green apple, citrus and unripe peach with hints of white pepper, white blossom and chalk.
On the palate dry, medium bodied with a great interplay between the acidity and light sweetness. Flavours of apricot, grapefruit and citrus with orange peel and honey. Light bitterness and nice freshness in the finish.
The winery is located south of the city of Maastricht on the Louwberg, in the extension of the Cannerberg on the west side of the Jeker valley.
