Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2014
Il Feuduccio - Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2014 (89 tsomw points) 100% Montepulciano.
Il Feuduccio is located on land particularly suitable for the cultivation of vines. The vineyards are next to the "Parco Territoriale dell'Annunziata", one of the first national parks founded in Italy, between the Adriatic Sea and Majella mountain and behind Gran Sasso mountain.50 hectareas owned vineyards would allow more consistent production, but they decided to produce around 250,000 bottles, so they select only the best grapes of the estate.
They also managed during the building of their winery to have an environmental impact equal to almost zero, in fact all the equipments, cellar and wine storage are underground. That's why when you visit them you will see vineyards, olive trees and an amazing villa where you can also book in their B & B with two apartments. In their tasting room you could have the most amazing sensorial experience: a full immersion in old vintages of their riserva wines as Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC URSONIA and MARGAE, with the possibility to taste wines from the first vintage 1998, wines that are now part of our historic.
In the glass an intense dark ruby red color.
Clear nose with intense notes of black cherries, plums and cedar with hints of spices, earth and leather.
On the palate medium+ bodied, dry, with medium acidity and medium tannins showing lovely flavours of licorice, dark cherries, plums and coffee. The balance is well done and the finish is long and persistence.
