In the glass a ruby red color.
Very expressive bouquet with cigars, herbs, leather, dark berries, earthy and an almost salty mineral.
Very clear structure, full ripe tannins which incidentally has a lot of freshness, complex flavor with many layers and a great length.
Zone and joint production: Fountains, Vittoria (RG), Sicily Southeast.
Grape varieties: Merlot 50%, Cabernet Sauvignon 50%.
Biological agriculture.
Altitude: 250 meters s.l.m.
Soil: red earth, from sub-Apennine sands of Pliocene and calcareous origin, interspersed with silica sand and clay.
Training system: Guyot, trellis.
Planting density: 5,000 vines per hectare.
Average age of the vines: 20 years.
Harvest time: September.
Fermentation: spontaneous in earthenware amphorae, on the skins with indigenous yeasts.
Aging: Slavonian barrels and bottle.
