Weingut Klein - Sauvignon Blanc 2017 (86 tsomw points)
Weingut Klein is located in Nierstein am Rhein in the beautiful Rheinhessen. Arnd Klein and his wife Silvia are the leaders of the company. Daughter Nathalie finished her winegrower education last year and helps out at home.
Directly at the marketplace in the heart of the heart of Nierstein, lies both the winery Klein and the restaurant Klein's Vinum.
The winery is already in the fourth generation. Arnd's grandfather ran a saddlery and beside the viticulture. The winery focuses mainly on Riesling, but also other grape varieties such as Silvaner, Sauvignon Blanc and Grüner Veltliner. The vineyards are located mainly in Nierstein and Schwabsburg.
Grape production ensures that the quality of the grapes comes first. Because only top grapes are brought to the cellar in the fall to produce high-quality wine.
In the glass a bright yellow citrus color.
On the nose delicate aromas of citrus, green apple and pineapple with hints of fresh cut grass and nice minerals.
On the palate dry and well balanced. The white wine shows a fresh wine-acidity and a beguiling concentration. Herbs are finally expressed in an exciting reverberation!. Nice long aftertaste.
Paired great with salmon, vegetables package on the bbcue.
