Podere ai Valloni - Boca Vigna Cristiana 2009
Pairing Suggestions
Yes number 1.000 on my IG timeline. A very good wine from a small Italian organic producer.
Variety of 70% Nebbiolo, 20% Vespolina and 10% Uva Rara from Piemonte region.
The grapes are meticulously selected and harvested by hand, gently layed in wooden crates and crushed the same day. the wine matures in oak casks for at least three years before being bottled and left to further mature.

The wine label reminds me of ancient times with the hills of Piemond on it.
In the glass a beautiful garnet red color.
On the nose delicate aromas of plumjam, dark berries and cherries with hints of tobacco, spices and vanilla.
On the palate dry, balanced with nice layers and complexity showing a good concentration of dark fruit, tobacco with nice tannins (still light gritty), acidity and freshness.
Ending with a powerfull balsamic, cacao aftertaste.
Pairing with risottos, tasty main courses of meat, game and medium-long seasoned cheeses.
