Dr. Crusius - Weissburgunder and Auxerrois 2016
Pairing Suggestions
Today an interesting blend from the Nahe region.
Dr. Crusius - Weissburgunder and Auxerrois 2016 (86 tsomw points)
Still very young but already very nice. In the glass a bright golden color.
On the nose aromas of lemon, pear, apple blossom with nice minerality.
On the palate fresh and round, rich with nice acidity and a light creamy aftertaste.
Winemakers notes:
In our most popular cuvée, the aromas of Auxerrois combine with the elegance of the Weißburgunder.
Subtle acidity, a very fine aroma and the full-bodied nature make Auxerrois the ideal partner of the Weißburgunder in Cuvée. A little discreet wood maturity on the finish gives the whole a perfect balance and harmony. Emphasizes acidity, yet powerful in taste, never intrusive, it adapts to a variety of dishes: fine poultry dishes, strong fish or Mediterranean vegetables.
A success story since 1999.
