Tenuta San Leonardo - San Leonardo 2008
Pairing Suggestions
This “Bordeaux” blend (Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère and Merlot) from Alto Adige is not at it’s peak yet but delicious already.
Tenuta San Leonardo – San Leonardo 2008 (90 tsomw points)
The early months of maturation in cement tanks are followed by 18-24 months in new and pre-used barriques.
Decanted for 1,5 hours.
In the glass dark ruby red with a dark core and a lighter rim.
In the nose delicious aromas of dark berries, black currant, green pepper, flowers with hints of clay, earth and dark chocolate.
On the palate medium-full bodied with a nice structure with flavours of oak, pencil lead, boxwood and currants. Good richness and round quality to it right now with a great aftertaste. Wonderful cool climate Bordeaux Blend.
