Pairing Suggestions
On the Camp site we paired this 100% Tempranillo with a great steak.
Torres - Celeste Crianza Ribera del Duero 2013 (86 tsomw points)
In the glass a deep cherry red color.
On the nose intense aromas of ripe blackeberries and cherries, liquiorice, spicyness and hints of toast.
On the palate solid but easy drinking, medium/full-bodied, soft tannins and light oak and cherries in the nice finish.
Winemakers notes:
DO Ribera del Duero
The vineyards in the Duero Valley are testimony to the history of this area which was written by the shepherds and farmers who long ago lived there.
It's said that the cold nights and hot days in the highest areas of these lands perfectly combine with the mountains winds to bring back memories of the first care given to the vines already back in the 12th century. Way high up there is where the grape ripens in the silence of the starry nights. Patiently awaiting the day when its great dream will come true: to become a Ribera del Duero worthy of praise.
Food Pairing: Given its tannic and fruit properties, it pairs well with a wide variety of meat dishes, including roasts and wild game. Best served at 14–16°C.
