Blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 30% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot (14,50 % vol) - decant 1 hour. In the glass a inky color with purple core. In the nose earthy notes like mushrooms and wet earth, black currant, blackberry, leather, strawberries and hints od chocolate. On the palate medium bodied with bright acid. Tannins are powdery and elegant. Powerful and brooding finish.
Its name emphasizes the local origin of this wine and pays homage to the Volpola variety.
It requires 14 months in barrique barrels and 6 months in bottles.
