Santa Maria La Palma - Le Bombarde Cannonau di Sardegna 2015
Pairing Suggestions
In the glass intense ruby red, bright. In the nose red fruit like cranberries, red currants, with notes of plums and some roasted coffee, herbs and flowers. On the palate dry, full-bodied, warm, robust yet light, velvety but vigorous with fine balanced tannin structure. Little pepper at the end with tart finish. Very nice easy drinking Cannonau.
Le Bombarde wine takes the name from the beach where, even today, we find vineyards of red grapes such as Cannonau and Monica di Sardegna . The cannons, represented on the label, are the symbol of the defence and the pride of the Sardinian coastal territory, that over the centuries has suffered invasions by various dominations including the Aragonese and Spanish. They are the emblem of the strong and determined character of these grapes.
