Caiarossa - Pergolaia 2006
Pairing Suggestions
First I poured this 2006 super tuscan in the decanter. The wine has a medium ruby in color with garnet edges.
It the nose cherries, prunes, licorice, dried red fruits, chocolate, clove, and earthy notes. On the palate the wine showes cherries, red berries, raspberry, prune, cocoa, spices, clove and earthy notes as well as hints of cola, coffee and tobacco.
It's fresh with medium acidity, fine, well-integrated tannins and a good aftertaste. After one hour it was more smoother and balanced. Great wine.
