Daphne van den Hoven
Daphne van den Hoven is born in one of the better vintage years of Champagne, 1996.
The passion for wine started during her time at the NHL Stenden University of International Hospitality Management, The Netherlands. Afterwards she worked as a sommelier for a Michelin starred restaurant and a winebar. Meanwhile she started developing her knowledge about wine via several courses, such as WSET3, but recently she passed the International ASI exam, and is now an official ASI sommelier.
She loves to share her passion and knowledge about wine with others, since wine is not only about the taste but also about the unique story of every single wine(maker). Which should not be kept for yourself but should be shared together. You can feel the passion and love for wine as soon as she starts talking, but also at her work as a sommelier, during (private) tastings and via writing at SommOfHeyloo. And now she continues with sharing her story of ‘my’ wine.
