Antje van Essen-Hermans
Antje’s passion for wine started during her time at University and in her 1st job as marketeer for Unilever, in which she also organised events for clients. Becoming fed up with beer she started drinking wine and got increasingly interested. She started learning more about wine through following all wine education courses (SDEN) available in the Netherlands. She then further deepened her knowledge about wine and food while living abroad for 15 years and travelling the world.
After she returned to the Netherlands she started a wine-food pairing business, Glas en Vork, which organises wine-food tastings for companies and friend groups.
She would describe herself as a bon vivanta ?, an explorer and food and wine lover. She is always looking for new experiences and sharing these with family and friends when and wherever possible. Her latest wine recommendation: Pinot Grigio from Macedonia.
