Bandol 2012
89 tsomw points

Chateau de Pibarnon, Bandol France

Category: Solid red
Tags: Mourvedre, Grenache

Last year I drank the 2014 vintage and it was already very nice.
Today the 2012 and you notice how it developes very nice.
What a great treat this Bandol chateau de Pibarnon 2012 (89 tsomw points)
90% Mourvedre and 10% Grenache.

Decanted for 1 hour and it opened up.
In the glass a dark crimson red color with almost black refections.
On the nose intense aromas of dark red fruits, cassis, licorice with some spices and dried herbs.
On the palate dry, fruit-forward with medium tannins and acidity. Flavours are similar to the nose with good intensity and length. Already very nice and youthful so aging will make it even better.
