Pairing Suggestions
Opaque, deep berry, pine and smoke fill the nostrils, full-bodied, quite juicy and dark, smoke, tobacco, blackberry, dark chocolate, coffee and sage fill in a complex and complete palate, very nice long finish.
Grapes: 40% Touriga Nacional, 30% Touriga Franca and 30% Tinta Roriz.
Ageing:About 30% of this wine is aged for 12 months in both new and old French oak casks; the remaining part is kept in stainless steel vats to maintain its fruity character combined with the oak complexity from the wines in casks.
Serving temperature: Serve at room temperature (16-18 ºC)
Decanting: No need to decant this red wine.
Serving recommendations: Estates Douro Red 2012 pairs well with Red meat dishes as well as Pasta Dishes.
